Hello, my name is Mark Carey and I am a London based photographer specialising in documentary style wedding and event photography. This simply means that I seek to tell the story of your day, working as a quiet presence, without posing or choreographing events but capturing the story of your day as it unfolds. This informal style of photography is best to capture people at their best, relaxed and natural, not worrying about having to pose or say cheese. In my opinion people look their best when they are not being coaxed or prompted and it is at this time that they show their most natural expressions and emotions.
I am happy to cover either weddings or civil partnerships. I also cover other events such as birthday parties in a similar manner.

How I work:
Please feel free to call or email me and we can have a friendly chat about your needs and the plans for you day. Then, if you choose to hire me I would ideally like to shoot your day from the preparations to the dancing. I find this length of coverage is ideal to provide you with a complete story of your day.
Price:
A full days coverage is £1250.
I provide for this at least 250-350 individually edited images, usually in a mixture of colour and black and white. I shall send you a dvd of all the high resolution images for printing and sharing.
A half days coverage can be provided but I recommend a full day to tell the fullest story. The best images will arise from my covering your preparations to dancing.
Couple portrait sessions:
Informal couple portrait sessions are usually about 2-3 hours long. We meet for a little chat and then for a bit of a walkabout. I try to keep these sessions light hearted and fun. I usually provide about 60 strong images from a typical shoot. See the portrait section of my site. The price includes editing and supply of high resolution images.
